Hi! I’m Bonni and my personal philosophy in caring for women who have become mothers - whether for the first or last time; through birth, adoption or surrogacy - is to empower them with knowledge and nurture them with emotional and hands-on support. I believe in “mothering the mother” and giving calming, patient, non-judgmental support so that she can be the mother she wants to be.
The days, weeks and months just after a baby is born are filled with a mix of emotions and experiences. From the highs of cradling your newborn to the exhaustion of yet another sleep deprived night. You may have a vision of the kind of parent you’d like to be but just don’t know how to get there. I am here to give you the support and tools necessary to enjoy your own unique fourth trimester and beyond. (I provide the same level of care to fathers who are the primary caretakers of their infants during this time.)
I have worn a few different professional hats - as an American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Specialist for the U.S. Department of Justice, a Kindergarten teacher and paraeducator, and most recently a Reading Specialist, to name a few. As a mother of three, it became clear that my passion was and is helping to establish a healthy relationship between mother and child. The first step in doing this, I believe, is to reduce mom's stress and support her in her awe-inspiring role.
